Saw the Sacramento Children's Chorus and the RSVP Choir perform last night in a free benefit for W.E.A.V.E. (Women Escaping A Violent Environment). Great concert! As well as the choirs there were drummers, piano, violin, guitar, flute, bass playing on different songs. My favorite was the one about California's mild weather. Funny and beautiful, and timely. I didn't get a program so I can't credit anyone particularly, but if you see this and you're in the area, and you're free tonight,
there's one last concert in the series -- go! And if none of the above is true, you still might want to throw some love at
WEAVE. They are a terrific organization, doing a lot of good in our community. As is RSVP, for that matter. The
RSVP Choir is all-volunteer, and
all of their concerts benefit community organizations like WEAVE.
